Nov - Conducted a 7-day theatre workshop for students from the 22nd batch at Centre For Research and Education for Social Transformation (CREST), Calicut, Kerala
June - Sept - Conducted theatre sessions for teachers and currently developing a theatre tool-kit for the Human Right Education program for Amnesty International India in collaboration with Maraa- arts and media collective.
May - Conducted sessions on 'Alternate Vocational options' for facilitators with Raise Our Voices (ROV) and Home for young girls in Cochin
Mar - Facilitated a year-long theatre workshop with Brindavan Educational Trust- a school for children with learning disabilities. The theatre workshop culminated into public performance - ‘A Timberland of Creatures’ performed in Atta Galatta, Bangalore
Jan - Presented an article, ‘Synaesthesia of Arts for education: Using the arts as the main approach to learning in children and adults with special needs' at Arts Education Conference conducted by Lalit Kala Academy and attended the India Youth Jam 2014 chapter for global change-makers, organised by Yes Jam.
2013 Sept - Oct - Travelled to 9 government schools with a multi-lingual story, 'Paplu The Giant'. The intent was to sensitize schools and children to use the arts in classroom settings.
2012 Sept - Presented arts-based research paper, after a three-month action research project – ‘P2C2E-Exploring the potential of social awareness with a special needs group through internal peer interaction and buddy system’, 2012
2010 Facilitated a year-long theatre workshop with Brindavan Educational Trust- a school for children with learning disabilities. The theatre workshops culminated into public performance – ‘Backpackers and Hitchhikers’ performed in Jaaga, Bangalore
2009 Facilitated the first theatre workshop with Brindavan Educational Trust- a school for children with learning disabilities. The theatre workshops culminated into public performance - ‘Not just Charlie’s Chocolate Factory’ performed at Centre for Film and Drama, Bangalore
2008 Worked on baseline research project with the Theatre Infrastructure Cell in Karnataka for India Foundation for the Arts
2006/07 Facilitated 3 theatre workshops for children with hearing disability at Sheila Kotawala Institute for the Deaf (SKID) and Association for People with Disabilities (APD) which culminated into public performances at Centre for Film and Drama (CFD) and other special schools. This project was in collaboration with VOICES, a communications NGO in Bangalore. ‘Seesaw’ – performed by junior school children of SKID‘, 'Colourwheel’- performed by senior school children of SKID, ‘Damaroo’- performed by children from APD training centre
2005 Conducted a workshop with JNC students for street theater performances at Bangalore Habba 2005

Attended workshops conducted by Rafiki, a Bangalore based theatre group in Bangalore, EVAM YOUTH FORUM- Mumbai, Atul Kumar, Kothu-pattarai Chennai, Nessa- theatre person from Germany, Hartman De'souza from Goa, Geeta Ramanujam from Kathalaya and Anish Victor from Bangalore, Pritham Chakarvathy from Chennai, Tomba fromManipur, to name a few.

Project |04 Storytelling with Paplu

Travelled to 9 government schools with a multilingual story, 'Paplu The Giant' from Pratham publication in 2013. The intent was to sensitize schools and children to use the arts in classroom settings. Along with stories children were exposed to songs and dance. This was a project taken up as a part of Snehadhara Foundation.

I have conducted several theatre and art workshops for children and adults both individually and in collaboration with Masrah, other theatre groups and organisations. Over the years, the workshops have largely focused on applying the arts for expression, self discovery, integration in learning systems and alternative vocations.
